Self-Cleaning Crusher

Instruction Manual

Qingdao BLS Engineering & Machinery Co., Ltd

I. Brief Introduction

The self-cleaning crusher has a flexible rubber plate inside and uses direct drive. It is mainly used for grinding raw materials. It adopts rotor rotation and has the characteristics of non-adhesiveness, compact structure, good grinding effect, easy installation, and maintenance.

Structure and Principle:
The self-cleaning crusher is mainly composed of a shell, rotor, chains, and a transmission device. The shell has a feeding inlet and cleaning door. The rotor is equipped with chain plates, where interlaced chains are hanged. There is a reasonable gap between the rotor and the cylinder wall. The shell material is specially designed to prevent adhesiveness.

Working Principle:
When powered by an electric motor, the rotor and chains rotate together. Materials enter through the inlet and are crushed, then pushed to the blocking ring and dropped to the lower layer. The materials are beaten in turn, impacted, dropped, and gradually ground before being discharged from the bottom outlet.

II. Equipment Maintenance

  • Examine and repair the machine regularly. Ensure all bolts are tight.
  • Add oil to the bearing pedestal every shift.
  • Clean fine dust on the shell every 8–10 hours.
  • Monitor operating current, temperature, and unusual vibrations or noise.
  • Immediately shut down if deep noise occurs. Clean internal adhesions before restarting.
  • Stop feeding before shutdown. Clean surroundings and apply anti-corrosive paint when not in use.

III. Troubleshooting Guide

Symptom Possible Reasons Remedy
The equipment can’t start when powered on 1. Blown fuse
2. Damaged or stuck bearing
3. Electric motor failure or improper wiring
1. Replace fuse
2. Replace bearing
3. Check motor and wiring
Vibrates and runs unsteadily 1. Damaged bearing
2. Damaged or dropped chains
3. Loose fixing bolt
1. Replace bearing, add oil
2. Reinstall or replace chains
3. Tighten bolts
Unusual sound in operation 1. Damaged bearing or lack of oil
2. Damaged chains or chain break
3. Damaged/disconnected shaft coupling
4. Electric motor phase missing
5. Loose foundation bolt
6. Foreign matter inside
1. Replace bearing, add oil
2. Replace or weld chains
3. Replace/adjust shaft coupling
4. Check power cord
5. Tighten bolts
6. Remove foreign matter
Deep sound or low material output 1. Material adhesion
2. Too wet material
3. Blocked feeding inlet
1. Clean adhesions
2. Reduce water content
3. Clear blockage
Large particle size after grinding 1. Damaged chains
2. Broken or dropped chains
3. Low voltage reduces speed
4. Damaged rubber drum
1. Replace chains
2. Reinstall or replace chains
3. Check and restore motor voltage
4. Replace rubber drum

VI. Safety Procedures

Safety Crusher

  1. Do not approach or touch transmission parts during operation. Never remove safety covers while operating.
  2. During inspection, shut down equipment and disconnect power. Release pressure in steam, water, and pneumatic lines.
  3. After maintenance, restore all safety facilities before restarting.
  4. Ensure material is emptied before stopping. Do not start the machine under load.
